As we approach to the end of Holocene epoch, which began at the end of the last ice age 11500 years ago,The Age of Man there is just in front of us the beginning of a new period called Anthropocene measured in long geological views and marked by extremely events such as the fall of an asteroid in the planet that eliminated the dinosaurs in the Cretaceous period 65 million years ago. Those events left last signals recorded by stratigraphy’s and are preserved in sedimentary rocks that define the boundaries between epochs. Anthropocene’s main sign is us. Human impact through our 7 billion of population, consumption, the increase of biomass, building cities, farming. However those signs will leave behind only subtle traces, in compare with those ones that will be found by whoever future stratigraphy’s will be are deforestation, extinctions, changes in the composition of the atmosphere, acidified oceans and global warming, made by the CO2 which is produced from burning coal and oil.
